CABRINHA Nomad IDS 2010

Der Kite, über den jeder spricht, ist unser brandneuer Nomad IDS Freestyle Wave Kite. Dieser Non-Bow Hybrid IDS Kite kombiniert das Beste aus beiden Welten … ein moderat geshapter C-Kite, kombiniert mit der IDS Bridle, ergibt unseren drehfreudigsten Kite. Der Nomad ermöglicht Kite Turns, die während der gesamten Drehung an Power zunehmen, indem er sich um die Wing Tip dreht. Das ermöglicht kraftvolle Kite Loops, die mit nichts zu vergleichen sind, was derzeit auf dem Markt ist.

Der Nomad IDS wird in zwei unterschiedlichen Tuning Optionen angeboten. Die Freeride Bridle Einstellung ist für den professionellen Freestyler und ist so austariert, um perfekt unhooked zu fliegen. Dieses Setting ist ideal für Freestyle Tricks auf dem mittleren bis Pro Level oder für das unhooked Surfing.

CABRINHA Switchblade IDS 2010

Der 2010er Switchblade IDS ist nun schon in der 5. Saison der führende Kite für Wakestyle und Freeride. Der Switchblade wurde für unterschiedlichste Bedingungen designed, hooked oder unhooked. Der konstante gleichmäßige Zug und seine Fähigkeit, auch unhooked vorwärtszufliegen, macht den Switchblade perfekt, um über Kicker und Slider zu fahren und jeden erdenklichen Wakestyle Trick zu zeigen. 2010 haben wir Verbesserungen bezüglich Turning Speed und Relaunch des Switchblade vorgenommen.

All-Round Freeride

The Convert bow kite is a reflection of the people who do our sport. Rugged, with a sense of ease. The Convert is simply the easiest and most secure way to get yourself up and riding in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of hassles.

The Convert is a full scale Bow kite from leading edge to trailing edge. This design delivers an incredibly wide wind range, stable easy handling and perhaps the most important feature on any kite ..... an enhanced relaunch function that is second to none.

RELAUNCH ON COMMAND

The Convert’s relaunch capability is so easy that your hands never have to leave the control system. By simply pointing the end of the control system towards the kite, the wing tip will rise off of the water and launch the kite into the sky. Unlike other relaunch methods, The Convert allows you to decide when to launch the kite and which direction it goes into the air. Its simple... and it keeps the control in your hands... where it should be.

Two of the elements credited for the Convert’s amazing relaunch are: The curved shape of the leading edge and the swept wing tips. Together they allow the kite to “unstick” by reducing contact to the water or snow when the leading edge is face down. The constant curvature of the leading edge allows the kite to easily roll onto a wing tip and lift off the water.

The Bow kite bridle is also responsible for allowing you to choose the direction you would like to launch the kite. This clearly puts the Convert in a class of its own amongst a sea of hybrid kites which don’t allow this function. This important function becomes an added safety feature when your kite is sitting next to an obstacle like rocks, a pier, other riders or swimmers.

For example: if you want to lift the right facing wing tip just point the right side of the control system directly at the kite and hold until the wing tip rises off of the water. When the kite launches you can easily control how fast or how slow you’d like it to fly.

If you want to speed up the relaunch process you can always just grab a leader line instead, flip the kite on its side and shoot it up into the sky. The Convert’s easy relaunch sets a new standard in kite control. Simple. Fast. And at your command.

The feature packed Convert comes standard with: Sprint. Our single point inflation system. You can easily inflate the kite by connecting the pump to a single valve.

Override 2. The ability to depower on demand by just pushing the control bar away from the rider.

The Convert comes with our versatile Powerdrive 2N1 S control system. The 2N1 S control system allows you to ride in either the 2:1 pulley mode or the 1:1 mode with the pulleys disabled.

In 2:1 mode the pulleys effectively double the steering, powering and depowering inputs. For the amount of distance you move the control bar you effectively double the reaction on the kite. This creates precision control, rocket fast turning, and puts you in charge of your kite at all times.

In 1:1 mode the disabling of the pulleys virtually eliminates all bar pressure and provides a smooth power and depower band. Great for freeriding and unhooked wakestyle riding. The Powerdrive 2N1 S comes with our Bypass leash.

DURABILITY

A new robust construction with transitional strut reinforcements and higher strength materials in the durability prone areas.

The Convert tackles durability with a tough Dacron leading edge, struts, trailing edge and wing tip areas. These areas transition into the canopy with transitional strut reinforcement materials, creating a solid framework around the canopy.

The Switchblade delivers a steady powerband with the ability to ride unhooked with ease. Kite loops, handle passes, and rail slides are the kinds of things the Switchblade 3 calls routine. When hooked in, the Switchblade 3 has the ability to tame gusts with its high depower capabilities and proven Override 2 security function.

The Switchblade 3 has a familiar feel of a classic kite with the increased performance and security of a flatter, high depower kite. With no pulley’s on the control system there is virtually no bar pressure.

Easy Handling / Bow Kite Performance
The Switchblade is the second kite in our series of revolutionary bow kites. The Switchblade uses the exact same technology as the Crossbow which has made a profound change in the performance and security of our sport. The Crossbow and the Switchblade are the industry leading kites which have introduced new levels of power, depower and security which all other kites are now judged by.

The Switchblade differs from the Crossbow mainly in its degree of Pro Span Extreme™. The Switchblade has a slightly rounder arc than the Crossbow which lends itself to smooth and easy handling. Especially when relaunching from the water. The less aggressive Pro Span Extreme™ means that the Switchblade has slightly less lift than the Crossbow but is incredibly more stable. The reduced lift means that the Switchblade is less influenced by gusty and unpredictable wind. The Switchblade kite is ideal for Wakestyle, Surfing, and Freeriding.
